850g/㎡ PVC tarpaulin is heavy‑duty industrial‑grade fabric. Its polyester base cloth is woven with higher‑density yarn, and the PVC layers on both sides are thicker. Compared with the 650g version, it achieves prominent improvement in tensile property, tear strength and puncture resistance, so it is far less vulnerable to cuts from sharp objects. When making real‑world selections, heavier weight does not always mean better performance. For short‑term rental‑oriented projects, 650g fabric can fully satisfy practical requirements and hold down overall project cost. For semi‑permanent, long‑term applications or locations with severe weather, 850g fabric should be prioritized to minimize follow‑up expenses brought by fabric damage, maintenance and replacement. Apart from tarpaulin material, overall marquee safety also depends on aluminum frames with matched bearing capacity. Comprehensive evaluation combining local wind load and snow load parameters of the project site is indispensable.
